Show Notes

Welcome to tonight's bedtime story! The lovely Turkish tale of The Silent Princess collected by Andrew Lang in his Olive Fairy book.  A story of a Pasha's young son who is cursed by an old woman. The curse takes hold years later when the son grows into a handsome young man and becomes obsessed with trying to make the silent princess speak so she can become his bride. Will he and his clever nightingale outsmart the beautiful Princess to trick her into speaking? Well let's find out! Settle in comfortably and snuggle up tight and then let's get sleepy together. Sweet dreams my friend and good night!

P.S. There are a few very unique names in this story and I do apologize if I have mispronounced them!! I tried to do some research on pronunciations but could not find these names anywhere. So keeping my fingers crossed!
